Are you a Brown girl who wants to share her political journey with The BGG community? For Women's History Month, we are opening up The BGG blog to you!
We are looking for women of color to write about politics in honor of Women's History Month. It is important for us at The BGG to hear from our readers about their political experiences as a Brown girl and the work they are doing to make politics a more open and inclusive space.
If you are interested in writing for us, here are the guidelines:
The post should relate to an aspect of your political journey such as:
Why/how you got involved in politics
Your desire to run for office or why you ran for office (if applicable)
Why we need more representation of women of color in politics
The importance of mentorship for women of color in politics
Being the only Brown girl in the room
(Don't forget - you can read The BGG blog for more examples of posts!)
Guidelines for the blog:
Good blog posts are at least 500 words, but please feel free to write more!
Submit at least three pictures to be used with the post that relate to its subject matter
Entries should be submitted by March 25th, 2019 at 11:00 PM Eastern Time to contact@thebgguide.com
The BGG editors have the right to edit the blog for grammar/content flow with final approval from the guest contributor
The guest contributor provides The BGG with the rights to promote the blog with its network and on social media
The guest contributor will promote the blog post with their network and on social media
