We are so excited!
She The People has announced that they will host the first ever presidential forum for women of color. The forum will take place on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, 1 - 4 PM CST at Granville M. Sawyer Auditorium, Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.
Per She The People: "Women of color are the core constituency that delivered big wins in the midterms and will be key to victories in 2020. Candidates will have the opportunity to make their cases directly to women of color in the room and be livestreamed across the nation. She the People offers an opportunity for candidates to address issues most central to the lives and communities of women of color—issues of racial, economic, and social justice."
She The People, founded by Aimee Allison, launched in 2018 with the She The People Summit that featured the nation’s most exciting progressive women of color leaders on the ballot, championing movements, and driving winning political strategy. The presidential forum is the next step in an effort to ensure that the voices of women of color are heard throughout the 2020 presidential election cycle.
